jakeandmariko.com is a personal website run by Jake & Mariko Harris for celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and hosting invitations to our own gatherings. It is not a business, and your information is treated the way we'd want ours treated.
What we collect
When you RSVP or sign in, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, the names and meal choices of the guests in your party, optional notes and song requests, an optional home ZIP code if you tell us you're traveling, and an optional phone number. If you share photos or sign the guestbook, we store what you post.
How it's used
Your information is used solely to plan and communicate about our events: confirming your RSVP, seating and meal counts, travel logistics, and occasional email updates about the event you replied to. That's it.
Song requests are not private the way the rest of your RSVP is: they are visible to other signed-in guests on the songs page, where anyone invited can browse the playlist and upvote picks. Photos work the other way. Your uploads stay visible only to signed-in guests unless we feature one, at which point that specific photo becomes publicly visible on the home page and the moments timeline, with no sign-in required.
What we never do
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not send text messages. Service providers that make the site run (hosting, email delivery) process data only on our behalf.
Phone numbers
The phone number field on the RSVP form is optional. If you give us one, it is kept only so we can reach you directly about the event, say a last-minute venue change. We do not send text messages and we never share it.
Your choices
You can update or delete your RSVP, photos, and guestbook entries by signing back in, or email us at hello@jakeandmariko.com and we'll take care of it.
